As much as we enjoyed our stay at RCR, it would not have been nearly as nice if it were not for our hosts, Bill and Gretchen. They were so gracious and welcoming. They gave us lots of good advice on what to do, and answered the many questions we had. Bill even took the time out of his busy day to take us on a hike to the hard-to-find crested Saguaro!

We arrived at the property, which was a drive on a dirt road and through a overly shallow creek (Don't worry they do have bridge access). We checked in and we were greeted by the owner, gave us some knowledge of his stunning property, and then shows us to the Hall where it is a lounge area that has a wide array of amenities to it (Kitchen, tv, computer, lounge chairs, and for us peace and quiet). After the tour, we were taken to our casita (Little house in Spanish).

I am at a loss for how to explain how absolutely amazing my casita actually was. Inside of it was a full kitchen, table, fireplace, comfortable couch, full size washer and dryer. When you got to the master bedroom, the bed was super comfortable. When walking into the bathroom, it felt so at peace like it was a spa.

The casitas were lovely. Incredibly clean, fully equipped, and spacious, they really are as nice as they look on their website. They have virtually everything one would need for a multi-day stay; fully-equipped kitchen (with their own farm-fresh eggs), dishwasher, washer & dryer, fireplace, huge bathroom with gorgeous walk-in shower, and a super-comfortable bed. The view out our windows and from the rocking chairs on the porch were stunning. Who knew that the Sonoran Desert would be so beautiful and interesting. And quiet.

The casitas provided a great base for all that we wanted to do. The private entrance to Saguaro National Park, just a two-minute walk from our casita, led us to an amazing 6-mile loop trail through the backcountry. The stables were just 5 minutes away (we took the sunset ride!). The jeep ride was 15 minutes away and took us on an eye-opening guided tour of the desert, ending at an ancient Indian site complete with petroglyphs and relics. Our activities also included Kartchner Caverns (about 45 minutes away) and a visit to Tombstone (should have gone to Tubac!).

Hosts Bill and Gretchen Shirley have created a very special retreat!. My husband and I have every intention of planning future visits. As a bonus, my daughter intends to have her wedding reception at the ranch. She can't imagine a more perfect venue!

Have had the pleasure of staying at Rincon Creek Ranch twice. It is hard to find words that can adequately express the beauty of this magical place. The setting is ideal....right on the edge of Saguaro National Monument. Views: Magnificent. Front porch: Awesome. Birds: Plentiful. Stars: Billions. Casitas: Luxurious. Kitchens: Modern. Bathrooms: Oh-La-La. (Told you hard to find adequate words!) Privacy: Oh yes. Peace and Quiet: PRICELESS.

I can not say how amazing this place absolutely is. It is approximately 30 minutes from Tuscon Airport. At the time when I stayed there, it was after a long week of training. We were offered to stay there as an option and really we were told about it strictly by word of mouth. We decided to stay at Rincon versus the other resort my wife had booked for us.

My wife and I spent 5 days escaping the weather in upstate NY, and discovered a true gem. RCR was just what we were looking for – peace and quiet, close to nature, warm hospitality and lots to do.

When looking back, I was incomplete amazement of this property. I can sit here and write and talk about how amazing that was and how at peace we were, but it sadly does not do it justice. This is one of the only times I can truly say, you wouldn't understand unless you stayed there. When we go back, we will never stay at a resort, we will stay at Rincon. Check the pictures to try and understand how rich and elegant the property and casita truly is.

We have just had the most amazing stay at RCR this amzing ranch alone was worth the 17 hour flight from Australia. There was absolutely nothing more we could have wished for, our wonderful hosts Bill and Grechen made our stay with them unforgetable. The villas are enormous and spotless, there has been nothing missed!!!!!

This was the nicest place we’ve ever stayed, and one of the few places we would definitely return to. If you don’t mind a short drive down a dirt road in the mountain foothills to get to a peaceful slice of heaven, then this is the place for you!
